
Lacrosse Wraps Up Fall Play with Two Wins on Saturday

The Cardinals defeat Cincinnati and Grand Valley State at home on Saturday
Louisville, Ky. -- The University of Louisville lacrosse team wrapped up fall play on Saturday afternoon at the UofL Lacrosse field on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals finished the day with two wins against Cincinnati and Grand Valley State to finish the fall season with a 10-2 record.

Louisville defeated Cincinnati 17-6 in the first game of the day. Offensively, the Cardinals controlled most of the possession. Meghan Siverson did a good job on the draw, giving the Cardinals an advantage on offense.  Louisville was able to spread out the scoring with multiple players scoring, Siverson led all scorers for Louisville.Â
Defensively, Louisville held the Bearcats to just two goals in the first period. The Cardinals split time between freshmen keepers Mary Rose Hitt and Lexie Ball.Â
The Cardinals dominated the second game, defeating Grand Valley State 12-2. The Cardinals' had seven different players score. Four Cardinals finished with two goals apiece. Â
Like the previous game the Cardinals controlled the possession in the game. Defensively, Louisville held Grand Valley State without a shot in the first half.   While the Cardinals weren't as sharp in the second half as they were in the first, they still controlled the game.Â
Like the first game, Hitt and Ball split time in goal for the Cardinals.Â
