Junior Nicole Woods lands Louisvillle's second straight weekly honor

The University of Louisville's Nicole Woods was named ACC Field Hockey Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Oct. 25.

Woods (Beverly, Mass.)helped lead the Cardinals to a pair of ranked wins over the weekend with two goals and a pair of assists. The junior dished out an assist to give the Cardinals a 2-1 lead against No. 9 Virginia, and helped direct an attack which would eventually lead to a 3-2 overtime win. On Sunday, she registered a pair of goals and an assist as Louisville defeated No. 17 James Madison, 4-2.

She becomes the fourth Louisville player to earn the ACC's weekly honor this season joining senior Lotta Kahlert (Offensive Player of the Week - Sept. 8), senior Erin McCrudden (Co-Offensive Player of the Week - Oct. 18) and sophomore Ayeisha McFerran (Co-Defensive Player of the Week - Oct. 18).

No. 7 Louisville (15-3) will travel to Ann Arbor, Mich., to face No. 11 Michigan in its regular season finale on Saturday, Oct. 29.
