LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville field hockey coach Justine Sowry has announced that the 2015 schedule has been set. "The 2015 fall season is fast approaching and we couldn't be more excited to get started," said Sowry. "Heading into our second year within the ACC, the expectations will be higher following a successful 2014 campaign. It is a brand new year with a very different looking team. The schedule is a challenging one and it presents a great opportunity for our young squad to solidify itself as one of the top programs in the best conference in the country."
The Cardinals welcome eight newcomers and return 14 players including six starters from last season's team which posted a 15-6 overall record and went 3-3 in its inaugural ACC campaign. The Cards were ranked as high as No. 5 in the NFHCA coaches' poll and finished the season at No. 10 after spending the final six weeks ranked in the top 10. UofL earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship, but fell 2-1 in overtime to Stanford in the first round.
