June 27, 2015 | Men's Golf
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Junior Robin Sciot-Siegrist of the University of Louisville men's golf team was named an honorable mention All-American by PING.
It's the second All-American honor the talented junior has received this week, earning the same accolade by Golfweek.com earlier in the week.
Sciot-Siegrist, who was also selected as an all-ACC academic selection, is one of the most decorated players in school history after he enjoyed one of the best all-around seasons in the program's history. He finished the year with a school record 70.67 stroke average, which included four top five finishes. In five of his last six events of the spring, Sciot-Siegrist finished in the top 10.
An all-ACC selection, Sciot-Siegrist won an ACC championship this spring after finishing at 11-under-par, and also carded a 5-under par to sit in a tie for fourth at the NCAA Regional. He won a one-hole playoff at the regional to become the school's first individual qualifier for the NCAA Championships.
Recently, Sciot-Siegrist made an impressive run at the British Amateur, finishing in the final eight during match play at one of the world's most prestigious amateur championships.
