Women's Lacrosse Places Four on All-Region Teams

The University of Louisville's Kaylin Morissette, Faye Brust, Cortnee Daley and Hannah Koloski were named Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association All-West Region selections. Morissette earned first team honors while Brust, Daley and Koloski earned second team honors.
The organization announced on Monday the first and second teams, each comprised of 16 student-athletes, for the four regions. These student-athletes are now eligible for inclusion on the IWLCA All-American teams, which will be announced on Monday May 18. The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American banquet on Saturday June 6, 2015 at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge in King of Prussia, Pa.
A 2014 IWLCA All-American, Morissette wrapped up her junior campaign as the all-time draw controls leader with 393 and ranks second in the nation in draw controls with 10.17 per game. The first team All-ACC selection and has registered seven hat tricks and led the team with 18 assists this season. She finished her first season in the ACC ranked in the top 11 of goals, goals per game, points and draw controls.
A senior and also a 2014 IWLCA All-American, Brust put together one of the best seasons of her career before missing five games with an injury. She finished the year with 46 goals and 10 assists to rank her third on the team with 56 points. The co-captain posted nine hat tricks on the season, including five goals and one assist against Boston College and six goals and one assist against Northwestern.
Daley, a co-captain, led the team in caused turnovers and ranked 10th in that category in the ACC. She ranked second on the team in goals with 47. The junior posted seven hat tricks on the season. She finished the year ranked in the top 15 of the ACC in caused turnovers, goals, goals per game and points.
Koloski had an impressive sophomore season earning a starting position in the Cardinals' attack. She led the team with 51 goals this season and added six assists for 57 points. She ranked fourth in the ACC in goals and 29th in the nation. She led the team with 11 hat trick on the season, including four consecutive games with a hat trick.
