LOUISVILLE, Ky. -
University of Louisville men's golfer Robin Sciot-Siegrist was named to the Atlantic Coast Conference team Monday as the ACC announced its all-conference team and individual awards.
Sciot-Siegrist, a junior from Rueil-Malmaison, France, has guided the Cardinals to their second-straight NCAA regional appearance and the eighth in school history. The Cardinals will compete in the Lubbock Regional on May 14-16.
Playing in his first season in the ACC, Sciot-Siegrist won an ACC Championship by finishing in a three-way tie by shooting an 11-under par 205. Ranked No. 35 in the country by Golfstat, his 70.92 stroke average is the best in program history.
"This is very exciting for Robin," head coach Mark Crabtree said. "He is certainly one of the best players in the league and in all of college golf. He has been our leader all year and am happy that he received this great honor."
Sciot-Siegrist, who owns the seventh-best stroke average in the ACC, has five top 10 finishes this season, which included his win at the ACC Championships. He tied for fourth at the Mason Rudolph Invitational with a 3-under par performance and was fifth at the Boilermaker Invitational by shooting 4-under par.
