Women's Golf Moves to 11th at Bryan National Collegiate

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's golf team moved to 11th following the second day of competition at the Bryan National Collegiate in Greensboro, N.C.
The Cardinals' lineup, on Saturday, hit just five birdies at Bryan Park Champions Course and produced a 23-over-par 311. Despite a two-day combined score of 39-over-par 615, Louisville is only nine strokes out of fifth place. Virginia and Wake Forest are tied for the clubhouse lead with a 23-over-par 599.
Through 36 holes, Katie Mitchell and Emily Haas are tied for 11th, while Louise Oxner is tied for 49th.
Mitchell totaled a 4-over-par 76 in round two, hitting four bogeys on the front nine. The redshirt junior struck par on each hole on the back nine, giving her a two-day score of 6-over-par 150. Haas, who was tied for seventh on Friday, clubbed a 5-over-par 77 on Saturday. She struggled early, with five bogeys through her first six holes, but then finished even over her final 12 holes.
Laura Restrepo rounded out the Cardinals scoring, firing a 7-over-par 79.
Louisville, which concludes competition in Greensboro on Sunday, is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. The Cardinals' lineup will start on hole No. 10, and Molly Skapik begins her day at 8:30 a.m. on hole 9.
