LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Senior Kayla Soles and sophomore Maryssa Becker had two RBIs apiece to help lead the University of Louisville softball team to a 6-1 win over Indiana Wednesday evening at Ulmer Stadium.

The Hoosiers (10-23) answered in the top of the second when Shannon Cawley singled, took second on a sacrifice bunt by CaraMia Tsirigos and came home on Katelyn Conenna's double to tie the score at 1-1. A hit by Rachel O'Malley pushed runners to second and third, but Louisville starter Shelby McCombs got Rebecca Blitz to ground out to third baseman Hailey Smith to end the threat.

Louisville tacked on two more runs in the fifth. Jones led off with a single and Whitney Arion walked to set up Maryssa Becker's two-run double which made the score 5-1. Morgan Meyer entered to pinch-run for Becker and moved to third on Nikolao's groundout. A sacrifice fly by Soles to increase the lead to 6-1.
