Kahlert Named NFHCA Scholar of Distinction

The University of Louisville's Lotta Kahlert has been named a 2014 Gladiator by SGI/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Scholar of Distinction.
This marks the second straight year Kahlert has earned the honor which recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2014-15 season.
Kahlert, a sophomore midfielder/forward from Hamburg, Germany, is a physical education major. She played in all 21 games with 15 starts and scored a career-high seven goals in 2014.
The University of Louisville field hockey team is coming off of a banner season in 2014 in which they posted a 15-6 overall record and went 3-3 in their inaugural ACC campaign. The Cards were ranked as high as No. 5 in the NFHCA coaches' poll and finished the season at No. 10 after spending the last six weeks ranked in the top 10. UofL earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship, but fell 2-1 in overtime to Stanford in the first round.
