Field Hockey Earns National Academic Honors

The University of Louisville Field Hockey team was named to the 2014 Gladiator by SGI/National Field Hockey Coaches Association National Academic Team Award list.
The National Academic Team Award recognizes those institutions that achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 during the first semester of the 2014-15 academic year.
The University of Louisville field hockey team is coming off of a banner season in 2014 in which they posted a 15-6 overall record and and went 3-3 in their inaugural ACC campaign. The Cards were ranked as high as No. 5 in the NFHCA coaches' poll and finished the season at No. 10 after spending the last six weeks ranked in the top 10. UofL earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship, but fell 2-1 in overtime to Stanford in the first round.
