• Wednesday marked the first ever meeting on the hardwood between Louisville and Utah Valley. It was the fifth and final first-time foe for the Cardinals this season.
• The Cardinals are 10-1 all-time against current members of the Western Athletic Conference, including a 75-47 win over UMKC on Tuesday and a 111-63 win over Grand Canyon earlier this season.
• Wednesday's game was the first for Louisville against a team nicknamed the Wolverines since the Cardinals' 82-76 win against Michigan in the championship game of the 2013 NCAA Tournament in Atlanta.

• Graduate student Trey Lewis was chosen as the Most Valuable Player of the Billy Minardi Classic after leading the Cardinals in scoring for the second straight night and the third time this season with Wednesday's 21-point performance, one shy of his season high.
• Lewis has reached double figures in scoring in eight straight games and 10 times overall this season.
• Lewis matched a season high connecting for a trio of three-pointers for the second straight outing and the fifth time this season.
• The seven made field goals for Lewis equaled a season high accomplished for the fifth time this season.
• Lewis also matched a season high with his seven rebounds on Wednesday night.
• Sophomore Quentin Snider reached double-figures in scoring for the seventh time this season and was one point shy of matching a career-high with his 15-point performance.
