December 02, 2015 | Rowing
Cardinals welcome Kate Allport, Gillian Burns, Tara Carr, Victoria Goldin, Amelia Herrera and Riley Kerber
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville rowing head coach Derek Copeland announced the signing of six prep student-athletes during the early signing period in November – Kate Allport, Gillian Burns, Tara Carr, Victoria Goldin, Amelia Herrera and Riley Kerber.
"We are thrilled about the first round of signees for the class of 2020, which includes five rowers and one coxswain. This group really understands the team culture here at Louisville and they're eager to be a part of it," Copeland said of the class. "They bring a wealth of race experience, integrity and grit and they understand the core values of the Louisville women's rowing program. Not only will they contribute on the water, but they are a bright group with ambitious goals for the future.
"Each student-athlete was specifically recruited because they understand just how hard it is to train and compete at the next level and we know Louisville is the perfect fit for them. We are truly excited to welcome them to the Cardinals Family."
