Head coach Mark Crabtree signs of his best overall classes
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -Â The University of Louisville men's golf team inked one of the top classes in school history by signing four highly decorated student-athletes to National Letters of Intent for 2016.
Starting in the fall of the 2016, the Cardinals will welcome Calle Hagstrom (Gothenburg, Sweden) and Trevor Johnson (Brentwood, Tenn.) to the men's golf program, while Keegan de Lange (Pretoria, South Africa) and Erik Dulik (Great Falls, Va.) are set to join the Cardinals for the spring portion of the 2015-16 campaign.
Hagstrom is a member of the Swedish National Golf Team and Kungsbacka Golfklubb. He has had success not only in Europe, but also the United States, earning medalist honors at the 2015 AJGA Bishops Gate Academy Preseason Junior in Ocala, Fla.
"Calle has competed at the highest level of junior golf all over the world," head coach Mark Crabtree said. "He has outstanding fundamentals and plays with lots of maturity. Calle will make a huge impact on the program."
In 2015, Hagstrom also has claimed the U-22 Swedish Match-Play Championship. A member of Team Sweden, Hagstrom helped lead his country to a second-place finish at the 2015 European Boys Championship and the 2015 Toyota Junior World Cup.Â
