Cards close fall season in Hawaii
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville men's golf team will play its final tournament of the fall season when it competes this week at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational, hosted by the University of Hawai'i. The three day, 54-hole event will be held Monday through Wednesday on the par 72, 7,223-yard Makai Golf Club course.
Louisville's starting lineup will include Robin Sciot-Siegrist, J.D. Lehman, Simon Zach, Patrick Frodigh and Hugo Esposito.
The fourth annual Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational features a 16-team field which includes seven top-50 programs including No. 3 Wake Forest, No. 19 Alabama, No. 34 UAB, No. 39 Louisville, No. 42 Saint Mary's, No. 45 East Tennessee State, and No. 50 Pepperdine. The rest of the field along with tournament host Hawai'i includes Cal Poly, Colorado State, Idaho, McNeese State, Mississippi, San Diego, San Francisco and UMKC.
Participants will play a total of 54 holes, 18 on each day, at the par-72 course checking in at 7,223 yards. All three rounds begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The Makai Golf Club has been rated as Golf Digest's No. 1 Golf Course in Hawai'i and one of America's Top 100 Greatest Courses.
