
Sciot-Siegrist Selected to Play in All-America Golf Classic

Senior selected to play in the three-day event
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's golfer Robin Sciot-Siegrist has been invited to compete in the 2015 Sun Bowl Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic to be held November 6-8th at the El Paso Country Club. In it's 41st year, the All-America Golf Classic features 21 of the top-collegiate players in America in a 54-hole stroke play event.
Sciot-Siegrist, who earned an invitation to the 2015 event based on being named an honorable mention All-American by Ping in 2015, also competed as an individual at the 2015 NCAA Championship in Bradenton, Florida. The 2015 season saw Sciot-Siegrist lead the Cardinals with a 70.62 stroke average, firing 20 rounds of par or better in 32 total rounds in 2015. Sciot-Siegrist finished at par or better in seven of his ten starts in 2015, including a career best total of11-under par at the ACC Championship, where he earned co-medalist honors.Â
Sciot-Siegrist, Reigning ACC Individual Champion and honorable mention All-American, will be in familiar company, as he will be joined by 10 All-Americans who are ranked in the Top-100 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Sciot-Siegrist recently moved into the Top-25 in the WAGR currently sitting at 24th.
Sciot-Siegrist will become the second Louisville Cardinal to play in the Sun Bowl Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic, joining Derek Fathauer who finished T-19 in the event in 2007. As part of his participation in theevent, The University of Louisville with receives a $1,000 scholarship. Over $750,000 in scholarship money has been raised for over 145 colleges and universities in the history of the event. Alumni of the event have gone on to win 617 events on the PGA Tour and over $1.6 billion in on-course earnings.Â
The three-day event opens up Friday with a day of fun and competition for the players, as they test their skills in the Titleist Long Drive, as well as the Ping Putting Competitions. The first and second rounds will be played Saturday, with the final round taking place on Sunday.
