
Sluman, LeSaux Tied for Fifth at Northern Intercollegiate

DeKALB - The University of Louisville men's golf team continued the opening weekend of the 2014 fall season Saturday, completing the second round of the fifth annual Northern Intercollegiate at Rich Harvest Farms.
Leading the way for the Cardinals were seniors Trevor Sluman and Antoine LeSaux, who each finished the round tied for fifth. Sluman followed his 2-under par 70 Friday performance with a 77 on Saturday, giving him a score of 147 through two rounds. LeSaux shot 73 on Friday and 74 on Saturday for a 147.
Currently in seventh place, the Cardinals sit 15 shots back of Winthrop, who lead the 13-team field with a team score of 587. Purdue is currently in second at 591, while Houston and Virginia are tied for third with a score of 593.
Max Walz was the next highest individual Cardinal finisher on Saturday, shooting a 2-over 74 to help him finish the round tied for 15th. JD Lehman shot a 78 to finish the round tied for 33, Gus Lundquist shot 77 to land tied for 39, and Robert Geibel shot 81 for a 54th-place finish, to round out the Cardinals.
