University of Louisville field hockey coach Justine Sowry has announced that Roz Ellis has joined her staff as an assistant coach.
"I am excited with the addition of Roz Ellis to our coaching staff. She brings a wealth of experience to the Cardinal Field Hockey program with proficiency in both the technical and tactical elements of the game," said Sowry. "There is no doubt that Roz brings passion and enthusiasm for the coaching profession and the sport and she has a spirit for the overall development and experience of the student-athlete. I couldn't be more thrilled that she accepted the position. She complements our staff well and believes in the direction that we are moving in as we transition into the ACC, the best field hockey conference in the nation."
Ellis's duties will include serving as director of recruiting, assisting with practice and game day preparation, and assisting in developing relationships within the field hockey community.
"I am honored to be joining the Cardinal family," said Ellis. "Louisville is embarking on an amazing journey entering the ACC. I'm very excited to work with the team and collaborate with Justine and Lucas as part of the coaching staff."
