NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - The University of Louisville men's golf team shot 8-over par 292 Friday to sit in fifth place following the opening round of the Mason Rudolph Championship at the par-71, 7,100-yard Vanderbilt Legends Club.
The Cardinals are 11 shots behind the Crimson Tide, has a seven-shot lead on second-place Kennesaw State (+4, 288) and are five shots clear of host Vanderbilt and the College of Charleston (289).
Robert Geibel is tied for fifth place at 1-under par 70, three shots off the leader Zach Munroe of the College of Charleston. Geibel made the turn at 1-over par, but rebounded by shooting a 34 on the back nine.
Max Walz is tied for 15th-place after shooting a 1-over par 72, while Robin Sciot-Siegrist is tied for 19th place with his score of 73.
Antoine LeSaux is tied in 54th-place with his round of 77 and Trevor Sluman is tied for 72nd with his score of 81.
