LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville football program will be well-represented when the 2014 NFL Draft kicks off on May 8 at Radio City Music Hall in New York, the NFL announced on Tuesday.
Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater and safety Calvin Pryor, a pair of juniors, will be two of a record 30 top prospects who will attend the draft. It's the first time in school history that the Cardinals will have a pair of attendees at the draft.
Bridgewater, who has been working out in Florida, is one of the top quarterback prospects in the country after throwing for 3,970 yards and a school record 31 touchdown passes in leading the Cardinals to a 12-1 record last season.
Pryor, who is rated as the No. 2 safety prospect by the NFL Network, left school early for the draft and is expecting to be a first-day selection. Pryor had 75 tackles last season and three interceptions for the nation's top-ranked defense.
The draft begins at 8 p.m. on May 8 and will be aired on ESPN.
