Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's golf team will play its final regular season event before the conference championships by competing in the Boilermaker Invitational on April 19-20 at the Kampen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
The tournament will be played on the 7,259-yard, par-72 Kampen Course, which was designed by Pete Dye. The course most recently hosted the 2008 NCAA Men's Golf Championship and the 2011 Big Ten Men's Championship.
This will be one of the most competitive tournaments the Cardinals have played this season, with nine teams competing who are ranked in the top 100 nationally. Teams competing are Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern, Michigan State, UCLA, Louisville, Drake, Kent State, Indiana, Toledo, Northern Illinois, Ohio State, Wichita State, Miami Ohio and Iowa.
The Cardinals are coming off third-place overall finish at the Mason Rudolph Invitational two weeks ago. Louisville shot 292-290-283=865. Sciot-Siegrist posted his best finish of the spring, shooting 73-70-67=210. He was on fire Sunday, carding a 3-under par on the front nine and 1-under on the back.
The teams will play 36 holes on Saturday, starting with a shotgun start at 8:45 am and play 18 holes on Sunday.
