WILMINGTON, N.C. - The University of Louisville men's golf team is tied for third place at the Seahawk Intercollegiate on Sunday after shooting 278-303=581 in rainy and windy conditions in the second round at the Country Club of Landfall's Nicklaus Course.
The Cardinals are tied with Ohio State for third with a total of 581 (+5), while Davidson rounds out the top five with a total of 586 (+10).
South Carolina, whose two-round score of 560 is a tournament record, will head into Monday's final round with a 19-shot lead over East Tennessee State. The Buccaneers are in second with a total of 579 (+3).
The Cardinals were led by Antoine LeSaux, who is tied for 10th overall after shooting 67-77=144. Robin Sciot-Siegrist and J.D. Lehman are tied for 18th. Sciot-Siegrist fired 73-73=146, while Lehman shot 70-76=146.
Robert Geibel was the fourth player to finish in the top 25 by firing 71-77=148 to tie for 24th. Max Walz is tied for 32nd place after carding 70-81=151.
The Cardinals will tee off in the third round on Monday beginning at 9:12 a.m. off the first tee. Louisville will be paired with East Tennessee State and South Carolina. Live scoring will not be available.
