Leadership Group for 2013 Season Announced

University of Louisville field hockey coach Justine Sowry has announced the leadership group for the 2013 season.
"We are pleased to announce a great leadership group for the upcoming 2013-14 season," said Sowry. "Many of those selected have had an active focus and have worked extensively in the past year on their leadership development through training, goal setting and ensuring a solid and improved team dynamic. Our team has a strong unity and focus right now and that can be attributed to our leaders that are currently in place. The coaching staff and team have complete faith and confidence in these young women and the direction in which we are headed."
Senior Erin Schneidtmiller and sophomore Victoria Stratton have been selected as on-field captains while junior Paige Monsen will serve as a deputy captain. Seniors Kelsey Rosenmeier and Michelle Amon and juniors Mallory Mason will Becca Maddock have also been named to the leadership group.
The Cardinals will return eight starters and 14 letterwinners from the 2013 team. Louisville will open the 2013 season on Aug. 30 at the University of Virginia.
