
Sciot-Siegrist Qualifies for NCAA Regional

COLUMBUS, Ohio - University of Louisville freshman men's golfer Robin Sciot-Siegrist was one of 10 individuals to be selected to the NCAA Division I Men's Golf Regional at The Ohio State University Golf Club from May 16-18.
The par 71, 7,286-yard Scarlet Course is one of the six regional tournaments that will be conducted as 13 teams and 10 individuals will compete in three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championships.
The finals will take place May 28-June 2 at The Capital City Club, Crabapple Course in Atlanta. Georgia Tech is the host institution for this year's championships.
Sciot-Siegrist, who hails Rueil-Malmaison, France, tied for seventh at the BIG EAST Championships last week in Orlando, Fla. The three-time BIG EAST Men's Golfer of the Week appeared in all 11 events and topped the squad with a freshman school record of eight top 10 finishes, which is ied for third on UofL's all-time single season list.
He led the Cardinals with a 72.8 stroke average and led the Cardinals with six rounds in the 60s and 10 rounds under par. He earned co-medalist honors at the Boilermaker Invitational averaged 72.8 strokes per round. Playing in his first tournament on his home course, Sciot-Siegrist tied for third at the Cardinal Intercollegiate with a two-day total of a 3-under par 213..
Other regional include Pullman, Wash. (hosted by Washington State); Baton Rouge, La. (hosted by LSU); Tempe, Ariz. (hosted by Arizona State); Fayetteville, Ark. (hosted by Arkansas) and Tallahassee, Fla. (hosted by Florida State).
