McClendon Named AAC Freshman of the Week

The American Athletic Conference honored University of Louisville volleyball's Maya McClendon as Freshman of the Week.
McClendon continued her outstanding freshman campaign this week, earning conference Freshman of the Week Honors for the third time this season. She led Louisville to two wins in league play, recording a double-double in each match. McClendon had 11 kills and 10 digs in a three-set sweep of USF on Friday. She followed that with an 18 kill, 18 dig performance against UCF in a 3-1 victory in a matchup of the league's top two teams. McClendon averaged 4.41 kills per set and 4 digs per set on the week.
Honor Roll
Randi Ewing, Louisville, Sr., MB Ewing helped Louisville to a 2-0 week with victories over USF and UCF. She hit .571 against the Bulls and followed that with 11 kills, seven blocks and a .348 hitting percentage in the victory over the Knights.
