
Rowing Hosts Sixth Annual Red & Black Day on Saturday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville rowing program will host the sixth annual Red & Black Day on Saturday at the G. Garvin Brown III Rowing Center at Waterfront Park on River Road. The event will again include several intra-squad scrimmage races followed by a cookout with the rowers and coaches.
The Red & Black Day will begin at 9 a.m. ET with a welcome from new head coach, Derek Copeland, and will be followed by introductions of the Cardinal rowers and coaching staff and recognition of Louisville's award winners from the previous season. The boats will launch at approximately 9:45 a.m., and will be followed by the racing, which should be completed by approximately 11 a.m. The cookout, which is sponsored by Fischer's, is set to follow the racing.
The U of L Pep Band will be in attendance, while raffle drawings will be held throughout the day. Louisville rowing gear and merchandise will also be on sale throughout the day. Directions to the G. Garvin Brown III Rowing Center can be found online by clicking here.
