
Dorward Earns Ping All-Region Accolades

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - - University of Louisville men's golfer Justin Dorward was named to the 2012 Division I Ping All-Midwest Region Team, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America Wednesday.
Dorward ended his career last week at the NCAA Regional in Bowling Green, Ky., after qualifying as an individual. He ended his outstanding career in 52nd place overall after shooting 12-over par.
The product of Port St. Lucie, Fla., was one of three unanimous All-BIG EAST selections from the head coaches.
Dorward had an impressive finish at the BIG EAST Championships, ending the tournament in second place after shooting 5-under par. He has posted five top-five finishes this season, including win at the USF Invitational.
Dorward led the Cardinals with a solid 72.3 stroke average this season, appearing in a team-high 10 tournaments. The product of Port St. Lucie, Fla., has played six rounds in the 60s and 10 rounds under par.
For his career, Dorward owns a 73.9 stroke average in 40 tournaments and has earned 12 top 10 finishes during a stellar tenure.
