Rowing Competes at Indiana Invitational

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Louisville rowing team competed at its second event of the season with five races Sunday at the Indiana Invitational at Eagle Creek Reservoir.
Racing in five different events on Sunday, the Cardinals' top finish was a runner-up by the second novice eight crew, which finished with a time of 7:28.90. Indiana led the way at 7:12.63, while Purdue was third at 7:50.09.
Louisville also had three third-place finishes on the day led by the varsity eight crew, which had a time of 6:29.33. Indiana earned the varsity eight win with a time of 6:25.60, while Notre Dame was second at 6:27.70 and Purdue was fourth behind U of L at 6:52.23.
In the second varsity eight event, Louisville was third overall with a time of 6:46.07, while Notre Dame earned the win at 6:34.66. Indiana finished second at 6:42.00, while Purdue was fourth with a time of 7:13.14.
In the varsity four race, Louisville was third overall with a time of 7:51.77 and trailed first place Notre Dame (7:35.22) and second place Indiana (7:50.22). In novice eight action, the Cardinals were fourth overall with a time of 7:23.90, while Notre Dame led the way in a time of 6:46.65.Indiana was second at 6:51.70, while Purdue was third in a time of 7:03.83.
Up next, the Cardinals will travel to Iowa City, Iowa, for races against Michigan and Michigan State on April 7.
