
Two Former Cardinals Competing at PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament

Two former All-Americans and BIG EAST Champions from the University of Louisville men's golf team are competing this weekend for a spot on the 2013 PGA Tour.
Adam Hadwin and Derek Fathauer are competing in PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament in La Quinta, Calif. The six-round tournament started on Nov. 28 and runs through Dec. 3. The tournament is being held at the Jack Nicklaus Tournament Course and the PGA West Stadium Course.
The top 25 finishers will earn their PGA Card and privileges on the 2013 tour. Hadwin, won finished 30th on the Web.com Tour this season, earned an exemption to the final stage. A two-time BIG EAST Championship Individual Medalist, Hadwin was tied for 98th after the third round of the qualifying tournament.
Fathauer finished second last week in the second stage to earn a spot in this week's finals. Louisville's only four-time all-conference performer, Fathauer placed 68th on the 2012 Web.com Tour. He was tied for 142nd at the halfway point of the qualifying tournament.
