Men's Golf Ties for Seventh at Firestone Invitational

AKRON, Ohio - The University of Louisville men's golf team carded a 298 to finish tied for seventh at the 17-team Firestone Invitational, Presented by FirstEnergy Solutions, at par-72, 7,125-yard North Course at the Firestone Country Club. For the tournament, Louisville shot 292-298=590.
The final round was delayed until 9:30 a.m. ET due to frost, which forced the round to a shotgun start. Previously, the event was shortened from 54 holes to 36 holes on Monday because of the frost.
The Cardinals finished 21 shots behind the champion, Ball State, who finished at 569. St. Mary's finished second while Davidson took third. Maryland's Sean Bosdosh took home medalist honors with a 5-under par 139.
Robin Sciot-Siegrist climbed 22 places up the leader board. After being tied for 32nd at the end of the first round, Sciot-Siegrist tied for 10th. Sciot-Siegrist fired a 70 in the second round to finish at even par at 74-70=144.
Maximilian Walz tied for 17th. Walz fired a 76 to finish 2-over par at 70-76=146. Henry Tomlinson carded a 75 on Tuesday. Tomlinson finished tied for 30th at 74-75=149.
Antoine LeSaux shot a 77 in the final round. LeSaux tied for 45th with 74-77=151. Daniel Iceman rounded out the Cards' line-up. Iceman fired a 78 in the final round. Iceman tied for 74th at 77-78=155.
The Cardinals close out their fall slate with the WKU/Kenny Perry Invitational at The Club at Old Stone in Bowling Green, Ky. on Oct. 14-16.
