LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's lacrosse team is set to host its 3v3 Cardinal Shootout on Friday, Sept. 30, from 6-9 p.m. Pending the weather, the clinic will be held at the Trager Center or the U of L Lacrosse Stadium.
The 3v3 Cardinal Shootout is a one-day event and is open to individuals and teams (maximum seven per squad). The camp is open to female student-athletes in grades 9-12. The tournament will provide high school girls the opportunity to compete with and against friends and players from other regions. Each team is guaranteed six games, and teams will consist of three field players and a goalie.
Under the direction of head coach Kellie Young, the clinic is intended to provide field players, goalies and teams a competitive and educational experience through various lessons and drills. Along with assistance from numerous student-athletes, emphasis will be placed on the development of solid foundational skills, preparing participants the ability to perform at the utmost level of competition. Coach Young and her staff have been instrumental in the development of eight All-Americans, four U.S. Elite Team members, three Canadian National Team members and 26 all-conference selections.
