
Men's Golf to Host Cardinal Intercollegiate

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's golf team continues its fall season by hosting the Cardinal Intercollegiate on Sept. 26-27 at the Cardinal Club Golf Course in Simpsonville, Ky.
The tournament will feature 18 teams at the par-72, 7,036-yard Cardinal Club Course. The two-day tournament will begin on Monday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. The teams will golf 36 holes on Monday and will conclude with 18 holes on Tuesday, Sept. 27.
The Cardinals recorded a sixth-place showing in their last event at the Marshall Invitational on Sept. 12-13. Louisville finished three-under par for the two-day tournament and placed two individuals in the top 20.
Senior Justin Dorward led the Cardinals with an 11th-place finish. Dorward fired a four-under par 209 while newcomer Henry Tomlinson shot a three-under 210.
The 2011 BIG EAST runners-up return five lettermen from last season, including one All-BIG EAST performer in Dorward.
