Swimming and Diving Earns Scholar All American Status

The University of Louisville men's and women's swimming and diving teams were named as ranking among the highest in the nation in both team and individual grade point averages.
The Team Scholar All American award is each year presented to college and university swimming and diving teams, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).
The women's team posted a 3.40 and men's team posted a 3.29 collective grade point average.
The Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimmers and divers, who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, for the semester or cumulative average, and have qualified for their respective national championship. The award is presented in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring). U of L had two swimmers named to the Scholar All America Award: Brendon Andrews and Alex Burtch, who both were not only BIG EAST Champions but helped U of L to a strong showing in the NCAA National Championship.
The Honorable Mention Scholar All American award is presented to college and university swimmers and divers, who have achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher, for the semester or cumulative average, and have achieved a "B" time standard, but have not qualified to compete in their respective national championship. The award is presented in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships (Winter/Spring).
The Cardinals earning Scholar All American Honorable Mention status are: Riley Martin, Michael Haefner, Kenneth Crapse, Tim Collins and David Zamkov for the men. Nicole Landisch, Grite Apanaviciute, Lindsey LaPorte, Breann McDowell, Krissie Brandenburg, Fanny Lilliestrom, Raine Thompson and Lindsey Stephens were honored for the women.
