
Hadwin Qualifies for U.S. Open

Louisville, Ky. - Former University of Louisville men's golfer Adam Hadwin earned berth in 2011 U.S. Open at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesada, Md., on June 16-19.
A former All-American at Louisville, Hadwin qualified by tying for second place at the Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash., where he sho 68-71=139 and earned one of the four spots available.
This is be first U.S. Open for Hadwin, who did play in Canadian Open last summer and made the cut in first PGA Tour event.
Hadwin is the second Cardinal player to make the U.S. Open in recent years as Derek Fathauer qualified and made cut in 2008 at Torrey Pines in San Diego, Calif.
