Katie Petrino Joins the Softball Team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Cardinal softball welcomes freshman pitcher Katie Petrino to the team. Petrino is also in her redshirt season as a member of the Louisville golf team and will be eligible to play in this weekend's BIG EAST Conference series against Seton Hall.
"We're excited to have Katie join us," said U of L head coach Sandy Pearsall. "She is tremendous overall athlete and was an excellent softball player in high school. She'll be able to help us immediately and provide some much needed depth in the circle."
The Fayetteville, Ark., native was a two-time all-state softball selection for Fayetteville High School, which was ranked among the top 20 teams in the nation.
