Field Hockey Releases Spring Schedule

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville field hockey coach Justine Sowry has announced the Cardinals' 2011 spring schedule.
The Cards will open the spring in Oxford, Ohio where they will face host Miami University and Indiana.
On April 2, they will return to Oxford to compete in the first weekend of the Longstreth League with games against Miami at 11 a.m. and Kent State at 12:30 p.m.
A week later, on April 9, Longstreth League play will come to Louisville where the Cards will play host to Michigan State at 9 a.m. and Michigan at 12:25 p.m. Iowa will visit Trager Stadium for a 4:40 p.m. matchup.
The following day, U of L will host a Seven vs. Seven tournament which features Iowa, Ohio, Michigan State and Saint Louis.
The Cardinals will close the spring season - and Longstreth League play on April 16 in Columbus, Ohio where they will play host Ohio State at 1 0 a.m. and Miami (Ohio) at 11:30 a.m.
Louisville returns 17 players and four starters from last year's team which posted a 13-7 record and a 5-1 mark in BIG EAST Conference play.
