
Men's Golf Continues Fall Season at Cardinal Collegiate

Simpsonville, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's golf team continued their fall season by hosting the 16-team Cardinal Collegiate in Simpsonville, Ky. and currently sits in third place after shooting 570. The Cardinals had rounds of 285 and 285 on the par 72-course for a score of six-under par and currently sit four strokes behind the leader, Marshall.
Riley Wheeldon is the leader for the Cardinals, sitting in a tie for second. He shot 67-72=139, good for five-under par. Wheeldon's 67 is one stroke better than 2009-10 low round of 68. Justin Dorward (71-72=143) and Sebastian Szirmak (74-69=143) are one-under par and are currently tied for 20th. Karsten Clements is tied for 32nd and is at one-over par after carding 73-72=145. Andrew Goodman rounds out the team scoring with 79-78=157.
Three Louisville golfers are competing as individuals. Chris Biuso is sitting tied for fifth after shooting three-under par 69-72=141. Chris Malec currently stands in a 11-way tie for ninth place after finishing the day two-under par 69-73=142. Daniel Iceman sits tied for 42nd 73-74=147.
The third and final round will begin on Tuesday morning.
