
Field Hockey Set to Host California Sunday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville field hockey team will play host to California on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 1 p.m. at Trager Stadium.
Team Cardinal is led offensively by senior captain Nicole Youman's 13 points (5G, 3A). Sophomore Amber Thomas follows with eight points (3G, 2A). Sophomore goalkeeper Erin Conrad (3-2) carries a 1.63 goals-against average and has 13 saves on the season. The 11th ranked Cardinals (3-2) are coming off of Wednesday's 4-3 double-overtime loss to No. 12 Ohio.
Sunday's game is part of U of L's `Pack the Park' event at Cardinal Park. The 13th ranked men's soccer team will also be taking on Appalachian State at 1 p.m. In conjunction with games, the `Pack the Park' event will include inflatables, face painting, giveaways and much more. Autographs will take place after each game.
The Cards will continue their homestand on Friday, Sept 17 when BIG EAST opponent Georgetown pays a visit to Trager Stadium. Radford will close the weekend and the four-game homestand on Sunday Sept. 19 at 2 p.m.

Scouting the Golden Bears: California enters the weekend with a 1-3 overall record prior to a game against Ohio University on Saturday. The Golden Bears are coming off of a 4-2 loss to Indiana on Thursday.
Cal is led offensively Megan Psyllos who has four goals. Andrea Earle and Claire Dougherty are tied for second with three goals apiece. Goalkeeper Maddie Hand carries a 3.51 goals-against average.
