
Bryan Hired As Assistant Men's Golf Coach

Louisville, Ky. - University of Louisville head men's golf coach Mark Crabtree has named Phillip Bryan as an assistant coach for the Cardinals' men's golf program.
Bryan comes to the Derby City after spending two seasons as the assistant golf coach at the University of Oklahoma where he was a three-time Academic All-Big 12 performer and a four-time member on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll. He was a member of 2006 Big 12 Championship Team along with current PGA star Anthony Kim. Bryan was a semifinalist in the USGA Public Links Championship in 2009.
An Academic All-American 2008 for the Sooners, Bryan graduated with a bachelors degree in Arts, Economicsand was a three-time first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection.
"I am very pleased to add Phillip to our coaching staff. He is an exceptional young man who has all the skills necessary to be a very successful coach. In speaking with others around the country, Phillip was highly thought of as one of the rising stars in the coaching ranks. An Academic All-American his senior year, Phillip values a great education and will provide a strong influence on our athletes in the classroom. Phillip's playing career includes a Big 12 Championship as well as being a semifinalist at the 2009 USGA Public Links Championship. These experiences will assist Phillip as he provides leadership to our team on the golf course. I know our players will benefit tremendously from all that Phillip has to offer them and we are excited he has accepted the position to begin immediately."
