
Men's Golf Places 11th at USF Invitational

Tampa, Fla. - The University of Louisville men's golf team wrapped up the 2010 Ron Smith/ USF Invitational on Sunday with an 11th-place finish overall in Tampa, Fla.
The Cardinals shot 294-285-298=877 to finish 25 shots out of the lead. Florida Southern shot a 5-under 283 on Sunday to capture the team title, while Matt Stauch from Florida Southern took the individual crown by shooting a 12-under 204 for the tournament.
Junior Karsten Clements was solid all weekend to finish in a tie for eighth-place overall. Clements finished at 3-under par for the three rounds, shooting, 72-68-73=213, while Riley Wheeldon was tied for 23rd by carding 73-70-74=217. Chris Biuso tied for 41st overall by shooting a 4-over par 73-73-76=222. Aaron Sherry tied for 68th overall at 76-74-76=226 and Justin Dorward was tied for 108th-place after carding 80-80-75=235.
The Cardinals will be back in action on March 18-20 at the Chris Schenkel Invitational in Statesboro, Ga.
