The University of Louisville field hockey team opened their spring season in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where the Cards played Club Atletico San Isidro (CASI) to a 2-2 tie.
Head coach Pam Bustin was pleased with the team's results in their first action since the fall season.
"Our first match vs. a very good CASI team. The score was 1-1 at halftime. We scored first when Amber Thomas scored a beautiful deflection from a Karah Nall feed off a corner.
We were down 2-1 second half with less than three minutes left to play. We were under defensive pressure and Erin Conrad was sensational, making saves that kept us in the game. A clear from Jenna Ahern to Heather Stevens led to a cross ball in front of the net...where Tuli Lim scored the dramatic tying goal with less than a minute to play!
We had outstanding performances from Nicole Youman, Haley Turner, Tuli Lim and our Player of the Game was Erin Conrad."
The Cardinals will face Gimnaisa y Esgrima Buenos Aires (GEBA) on Tuesday.
