Louisville, Ky. - In what was a perfect night for football, the University of Louisville football team held its second practice of the season in front of approximately 800 fans at Fan Fest Friday night.
The Cardinals practiced for a little over two hours before signing autographs for the fans for about 45 minutes. Posters were handed out to the fans and signed by most of the players.
The Cardinals came out the second day in shorts and helmets and put on a good impression for the fans. Practice was intense and the team moved forward from practice #1 on Thursday.
Junior quarterack Adam Froman, who had an IV after practice on Thursday and lost 12 pounds, responded with a solid practice on Friday. Froman got the ball out of his hands quick and seemed to have a better touch on the deep ball. Josh Chichester and Trent Guy were impressive, while Scott Long continues to progress after recovering from his knee injury.
"I was pleased with the tempo of practice," said head coach Steve Kragthorpe. "I thought we made plays in the passing game and saw many players to a lot of good things. The quarterbacks were a lot better tonight and think they will continue to get better."
The Cardinals will hold their annual Media Day in the morning with the team picture. The team will also take numerous pictures and talk to the media. The team will practice at 4:30 p.m. before getting a special pep talk from a Major General in the United States Army later that evening.
