
Lacrosse Set to Host No. 6 Georgetown

The University of Louisville lacrosse team will take on No. 7/6 Georgetown Saturday, April 11 at 1 p.m. The Hoyas are now 9-3 on the season and 4-0 in BIG EAST play.
The Cardinals (7-4, 1-3) are led by Bergan Foley, who has 33 goals and four assists. Sophomore attacker Emily Dashiell was named to the lacrosse BIG EAST Honor Roll for the week ending April 5, 2009.
She had eight points, including six goals in a 1-1 week for the Cardinals. In the Cardinals historic first BIG EAST win, she totaled six points, including four goals in a 10-8 win against Rutgers. It is the first year the Cardinals are participating in league play.
GU's win over Syracuse on Friday was the longest game in program history. It also marked the first contest ever played under the lights at Multi-Sport Field.
Georgetown defeated Syracuse 11- 10 in a four-overtime thriller. The Hoyas are 6-2 all-time in overtime under Head Coach Ricky Fried. Of those games, one was a 9-8 victory in two overtimes against Syracuse in 2007. Georgetown has not played a four overtime game in program history, the last game to go to two was the 2007 Syracuse victory.
