Arslanbekova Named BIG EAST Volleyball Rookie of the Week

Freshman outside hitter Lola Arslanbekova, who was also the Freshman of the Week on Sept. 14, picksup her second conference distinction after a strong offensive weekend for the University of Louisville volleyball team.
She helped Louisville improve to 5-2 in BIG EAST play with wins over Seton Hall and Rutgers. Against the Pirates, she racked up 19 kills, a service ace, seven digs and a block in a 3-1 victory. Arslanbekova sported a .444 hitting percentage versus the Scarlet Knights while adding 14 kills, three service aces and six digs for a 3-0 win. The outside hitter was third in the conference with a 4.71 kills-per-set average and second with 5.21 points-per-set.
