
Field Hockey to Face Ohio Saturday

Louisville, Ky.- - The No. 17 Louisville Field Hockey team will play host to No. 20 Ohio University Saturday at 1 p.m. at Trager Stadium. The game will mark the first time the teams have faced each other since the Cards were members of the Mid-American Conference from 1996-2004.
The Cardinals are coming off a 1-1 performance in the season-opening Champions Challenge. On Saturday, U of L defeated No. 12 Duke 1-0 and then fell to No. 10 Michigan State 6-1 in Sunday's championship game.
Sophomore Nicole Youman and junior Kayla May lead the team in scoring, with a goal each during the weekend tournament.
Ohio enters the game with a 1-2 record and are coming off of a 2-1 loss to Ohio State on Sept. 3. The Bobcats got off on the right foot by beating Georgetown 3-2. Following the victory over the Hoyas, Ohio suffered its first loss of the season, a 1-0 decision against James Madison.
