Fathauer Tied for Ninth at US Amateur Open

Pinehurrst, N.C. - Former University of Louisville men's golfer Derek Fathauer shot 69 and is tied for ninth after the first round of the US Amateur Open on Monday in Pinehurst, N.C.

Fathauer is 1-under par after the first day with 36 holes to play on Tuesday and Wednesday. Karsten Clements and Adam Hadwin are tied for 63rd place and are 2-over par, while Connor Arendell shot a 6-over 76.
