Austin, Texas - Junior Adam Hadwin of the University of Louisville tied for fourth overall at the 42nd annual Morris Williams Intercollegiate at the par 71, 7,412-yard University of Texas Golf Club.
It was his best finish since he tied for fourth at the UNCG Bridgestone Tournament in October.It was the seventh top five finish of his career.
As a team, the Cardinals placed eighth overall with a score of 295-301-291=887. The University of Texas won the tournament with a score of 868. Texas vaulted past 36-hole leader Oklahoma State, whom UT trailed by four strokes heading into Tuesday's final round, and then-second place UNLV, with a three-over 287 in the final round to win the team championship by six strokes over the sixth-ranked Cowboys. With its 54-hole total of 868 strokes at three-over par, Texas also defeated top-ranked Alabama, who placed seventh overall.
Daryl Fathauer tied for 13th overall after he carded 74-75-70=219 and Adam Rainaud was tied for 23rd with his 74-76-72=222. Senior Derek Fathauer had an uncharacteristic tie for 55th-place with 75-75-81=231 and Karsten Clements was tied for 70th with 78-79-80=237.
