
Women's Tennis Downs Old Dominion

The University of Louisville women's tennis team downed Old Dominion 5-2 in their final away match of the season. The Cardinals won the doubles point and then four of the singles matches for the win.
"Different people are stepping up to help us win," said U of L head coach Mark Beckham. "This is our last road match of the regular season and I think we are ready to face a very good Marshall team April 11th."
The Cardinals took the doubles point by winning at No. 2 and No. 3. The No. 2 pair of Lauren Imre and Robyn White beat Daniela Cohen and Joanna Dobrowolska 8-6. Their teammates Jo-Ann Van Aerde and Lindsey Jones clinched the point at No. 3 with an 8-5 win over Jana Kubicikova and Barb Costa.
Lauren Imre rolled over Charleen Haarhoff 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1. Senior Robyn White stepped up and held on for a three set win at No .4 over Barb Costa. Natalia Baez beat Daniela Cohen at No. 5 6-3 ,6-4 and Jo-Ann Van Aerde prevailed 6-2, 6-3 at No. 6 over Mariha Citic.
