
Men's Golf Awaits Regional Bid

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville men's golf team finished its regular season with a second-place finish at the BIG EAST Golf Championships.
It was another solid year for the Cardinals, who are awaiting word to see if they qualified for the NCAA Regionals, which begin on May 15-17.
Louisville has won a pair of tournaments this season and also owned four medalist finishes from their golfers. The Cardinals won the Bridgestone Collegiate and the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate.
The Cardinals are ranked No. 20 in Golfweek/Sagarin poll and stand No. 23 in the Golf World/Nike Golf Division I Coaches Poll
Senior Derek Fathauer is ranked No. 18 individually in the Golfweek/Sagarin poll. Derek has won a pair of tournament titles this season and is first on the team with a 72.29 stroke average. He was also voted by the school as the Top Male Athlete of the Year.
