Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville's annual Red-White football game presented by UPS is set for Friday night, April 18 at 7:30 p.m. at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
The second edition of head coach Steve Kragthorpe's team will play a regular-game format that will pit the Cardinals' offense versus the defense with a pre-determined scoring system for both teams. The offense will score points for touchdowns and field goals, while the defense will earn points for stops, turnovers caused and defensive scores.
"We are looking for a competitive game on both sides of the football," said head coach Steve Kragthorpe. "We have had a good spring. I've been pleased with the effort and the focus on the mental side of the game. We've made a lot of progress and I'm looking forward to Friday night."
The gates to the stadium will open at 6:30 p.m. and admission is free. There will be an autograph session immediately following the game. Rosters cards, schedule cards and schedule magnets will be handed out the fans.
