Field Hockey Sets 2008 Spring Schedule

Louisville, Ky.- - The University of Louisville field hockey team has released its 2008 spring schedule.
The Cards will open the spring calendar at home, March 28 against Miami (Ohio). On March 29, U of L will travel to Bloomington, Ind., for the Indiana University Spring Tournament. The Cardinals will host the U of L Spring Tournament April 5-6. The tournament field includes: Ball State, Iowa, Michigan State, Indiana, Missouri State, Saint Louis and Ohio University. U of L will close the spring season on April 12 in Ann Arbor, Mich., where the Cards will face the host Wolverines and the Kent State Golden Flashes.
"After a long and productive strength and conditioning portion of our spring training, Team Cardinal is ready to get on the field," said head coach Pam Bustin. "Our spring schedule will provide our team with the game experience and competition needed to ensure fall season success."
Louisville finished the 2007 season with a 14-6 overall record, including a 5-1 mark in BIG EAST conference play. In 2008, the Cards are set to host the NCAA Field Hockey Championships November 21-23.
